Findings from the “Massachusetts Male Aging Study”, which was the widest survey of male erectile dysfunction composed, found that:
- 52% of all men between the ages of 70 and 40 have varying degrees of erectile dysfunction (deemed as severe, moderate, or mild).
- One in ten men are not able to achieve an erection whatsoever (complete ED).
- The bulk of erectile dysfunction causes are by their very nature physical.
- There is a strong association between erectile dysfunction and age – that is, the occurrence of ED increases along with age. (39% of men at 40 years of age are affected by ED whereas 67% of men at 70 years of age are affected by ED.) *
