We're all getting older, and sooner or later we may have to deal with
Aging Men Syndrome (AMS).
AMS can
manifest itself in many ways. Let's examine some of the possible symptoms:
- Low Testosterone levels
- Weight gain
- Difficulty sleeping regularly
- Irritability (Yes, it affects men too!)
- Less sexual desire
- Increased urination
- Bone and hair loss
- Lack of energy
- Erection problems
- Issues with memory and ability to concentrate
The average man's hormone levels begin to deplete at the age of 35 and will continue to deplete until about 65. While some are affected more than others, all men see the signs of aging sooner or later. Doctors encourage men to have their testosterone levels tested while they are young so that when levels change, your doctor can tailor medications to your exact needs, however, technology has come a long way and can offer incredible amounts of information about a person's health with just a simple blood test.
Aging Men Syndrome is not only common, it's natural so talk to your physician if you are are experiencing these symptoms.
