Boston Medical Group is unquestionably the leading organization of physicians dedicated to diagnosing and treating erectile dysfunction in males.
There is no doubt BMG understands that there are preventive measures one can take to combat ED. That includes diet.
If, to some extent, erectile dysfunction has to do with the lack of healthy blood flow to the penis, then it makes sense that foods that are good and healthy for the vascular system are also very worthwhile in fighting ED.
So what are some of those foods?
Well, one of the things you are looking for is a high concentration of nitrates. That is because they help to promote blood flow
Certain green vegetables are very, very good for you in this regard. One of them is celery. Eat celery on a regular basis and it will surely help to open up your blood vessels, which help to ensure an orderly flow of blood to the penis.
Want another idea about food, along those lines? How about spinach? When many of us were growing up, we acted as if we were allergic to spinach, Some of us still are. But there is obviously plenty of evidence that spinach is healthy for the heart and healthy to combat ED!
For any questions or consultation about erectile dysfunction and its relationship to diet, do not hesitate to contact Boston medical Group at any of its 21 office located throughout the United States.

ED and Your Diet: Eat Your Vegetables
Boston Medical Group is dedicated, completely and totally, to diagnosing and treating erectile dysfunction in adult males. Toward that end, of course, that means they are the recognized authorities in this area.
BMG understands that, whether one knows it or not, there are medical conditions in people that can bring on ED, and that there can be a very real connection between one's diet and the onset of some of these conditions.
So there are certain foods that can be suggested as part of a healthy diet. Here are a few of them:
Mixed Vegetables - Speaking in layman's terms, the more colorful the better. There are a lot of phytochemicals in mixed vegetables, which are great for the cells in general.
Eggs - You will do a trade-off here, because it is important to eat the whole egg in order to get the most out of its content of lutein, protein and iron. You can cut back on cholesterol in other ways.
Leafy Greens - These are great for you; what we are talking about here is the group that includes collard greens and spinach. Popeye loved his spinach; why shouldn't you?
If you have any questions or concerns regarding erectile dysfunction, please contact Boston medical Group today at 1-888-740-5170. BMG has 21 convenient offices located through the U.S., and several overseas.

Don't Try To Play Doctor On Your Own
It is quite possible, and indeed probable, that no one has dealt with as many cases of erectile dysfunction as has the Boston Medical Group.
And in that process, they have no doubt encountered all kinds of patients.
Some of them may feel completely helpless because of their condition, and as a result may feel a total dependency on the doctors to virtually "hold their hand" during the process.
Some may feel they have some of their own answers to the problems, or may still be maintaining a certain level of "denial" about it.
What we can say about people like that is that at least they came forward to get help.
Some don't.
Some may feel as if they can supply the answers, and the treatment, themselves.
They figure that as long as they can do something, as they perceive it, about their problem, then no one else needs to know about it.
So they go about taking supplements. The problem is that they don't really have any idea what goes into those supplements. It could be anything, and they are not always going to get the information they need off the label itself.
BostonMedical Group certainly advocates a healthy diet, and their physicians are happy to talk about that, but that involves your intake of real food. When it comes to buying and ingesting supplements, it's best to consult with a doctor beforehand.
You can contact Boston Medical Group at 1-888-740-5170. They've got 21 offices around the country.

Study: Less Sexual Desire Could Cause ED Years Later
Perhaps it would interest you to know that a sign that erectile dysfunction is on the way may come long before its physical onset.
That's right, and you can bet that the people Boston Medical Group are probably more familiar with this subject than anyone else.
Last year, the results of a study involving 800 men were reported, and it was discovered that when men had less in the way of sexual desires and thoughts, it translated into a greater likelihood of developing ED than those who had normal sexual thoughts and desires.
The idea, one supposes, is that those thoughts, or lack thereof, are perhaps the beginning of a process of sexual dysfunction. In a way, that makes sense, because of the natural connection between thoughts and action as a part of the sexual function in general.
The American Urological Association reported the findings at their annual meeting last year, and while we don't know why it took so long, the study in question took place between 1987 and 1997.
The group of men who took a survey and gave indications of reduced sexual desire were then re-visited and found to have ED at some level to a much more considerable degree.
For questions related to sexual desire and erectile dysfunction, please contact Boston Medical Group at any of its 21 offices nationwide.

Cutting Down on Medications May Be Key to Fighting ED
If you are reading these pages for the first time, Boston Medical Group obviously doesn't know very much about your medical condition. So we are not aware as to what kind of medication you may be taking these days, or for that matter, how much of it you are taking.
What we can relate to you, however, is that if you are taking a lot of medication, it might be something that contributes to erectile dysfunction, and if you cut some of it out, you stand less of a chance of getting ED.
That, at least, is what the findings of a recent study published in the British Journal of Urology International would seem to indicate.
It may not be the most conclusive study anyone has ever conducted, but it did find, in a survey involving over 37,000 men, that the more medications they took, the more likely they were to experience symptoms of erectile dysfunction, to some degree.
Some suggestions that have been made in relation to these findings, and if you are someone who ingests multiple medications, are to perhaps consider those that might be superfluous, such as certain over-the-counter medications. That may be s step toward dealing with those ED symptoms,
Of course, you would hesitate to do anything without consultation with a physician. And when it concerns ED, there is no one better than one of the network of independent physicians working with Boston Medical Group. To get your questions answered, or to set up an appointment, just call 1-888-740-5170.

Obesity and its Relationship to ED
Obesity, as we know and as you have been told, has become a major issue in the United States, to the extent that even government legislators have gotten into the act with their own ways to control it and combat it.
There are many reasons for you to take control of a weight problem. One of them is that it can accelerate the development of erectile dysfunction. Boston Medical Group wants you to know that, and also wants you to know that there is a place to turn in order to get the help you need.
The relationship between obesity and erectile dysfunction may not be a direct one, but it is not difficult to establish a connection. People who are obese can develop conditions that affect the flow of blood. For example, the possibility of diabetes is increased, as is the incidence of high blood pressure. Anyone who is obese is at more of a risk for heart disease than someone who isn't.
If all of this is unchecked, there is a good chance that one could be afflicted with erectile dysfunction (ED), which is much more common than many people can really imagine.
So if obesity is a problem for you, understand that the problem could be compounded, very easily.
If you feel you might be at risk, don't wait for miracles to happen. Call BMG toll-free at 1-888-740-5170. Their network of independent physicians is quite expansive, with 21 locations nationwide.
Don't run away from your problem; attack it head-on, with the help of the people at Boston Medical Group!

High Blood Pressure and its Relationship to ED
As you may or may not know, there are certain medical conditions that might appear to be unrelated to erectile dysfunction that could actually have a very real bearing on it.
One of those conditions is high blood pressure, and Boston Medical Group thinks you should be well aware of it, and what you can possibly do about it.
Blood flow to the penis is a necessary component of achieving an erection, and so it follows that any restriction on that is going to have an effect on erections, and the sexual performance that is associated with it.
High blood pressure is just what is implied from the name; it exerts a lot more pressure on the blood vessels, which makes blood flow a lot more problematic. As a result - and you could conclude this yourself - the blood will have a much more difficult time flowing to the penis, and that is one of the things that directly causes ED.
To compound things, you could be taking medications for the purposes of dealing with high blood pressure that could contribute to the problem as well.
Don't take any chances; there have been studies indicating such a connection that 65% (or more) of adult men with high blood pressure also develop erectile dysfunction.
The acknowledged experts in dealing with ED are working at the Boston Medical Group, and there is no excuse for not contacting them to address any problem you may have, since there are 21 different locations throughout the United States.

Prostate Cancer and its Relationship to ED
Boston Medical Group knows that there are certain other medical conditions that could bring about the onset of erectile dysfunction. But you may not be aware of it, or might not associate one thing with another, unless that is explained to you.
The more education you have in things like this, the better off you're going to be.
One of those disorders that could be associated with erectile dysfunction is prostate cancer. The prostate, of course, is a small gland near the bladder. There is a close proximity to the nerves that are involved with the process of achieving an erection.
Prostate cancer is rather common; in fact, as far as men are concerned, it is the most common form of cancer that is not involved with the skin. The good news for men is that it is treatable, but the bad news is that the treatment itself could be something that eventually leads to erectile dysfunction.
If you have undergone hormonal therapy, that can have a very real effect. The same can be said about radiation therapy, as you might imagine. What you are talking about here is an effect on tissues and nerves, and that is something that is going to put you in danger of developing erectile dysfunction.
It does not make sense to be in the dark about these things, as long as it is something that can be dealt with. And if it indeed can be dealt with, Boston Medical Group has the people who can deal with it.
Contact BMG at any of their 21 convenient locations and find out how your condition can be treated.

Causes of ED: Cut Down On That Cholesterol
You are what you eat. Have you ever heard that before? Well, that may or may not be true, but the simple fact is that you can affected very strongly by what you eat, and that effect can gravitate over to the way you are able to perform sexually.
That is because high cholesterol levels can have a bearing on your possibility of developing erectile dysfunction, and Boston Medical Group, the leading experts in this field, think that you should know that.
Certainly you need cholesterol in your blood. What you don't need is HIGH cholesterol, because in that case fatty deposits build up in your vessels that can greatly inhibit the flow of blood. This puts you at risk for a number of different things.
One of those things is a heart attack. Another is a stroke.
Yet another is erectile dysfunction.
And it makes sense, when you think about it, and you have the understanding that the process of achieving and maintaining erection has to do with the proper flow of blood through the arteries. Logically, it follows that when those arteries are clogged, you are going to have more problems with ANY kind of blood flow.
Did you know that having high levels of high cholesterol could increase your chances of developing erectile dysfunction by as much as 80%? It absolutely can.
That doesn't mean you can't do anything about it. First, reduce your intake of fatty foods and get some more exercise. And contact Boston Medical Group toll-free at 1-888-740-5170 to get help with erectile dysfunction, if it has indeed started to happen as a result. You will not be sorry.

Boston Medical Group - Fish Oil and Erectile Dysfunction

Yoga Linked to a Healthier Sex Life
The Journal of Sexual Medicine recently reported that sexually unsatisfied women who practiced yoga saw improvements in their sexual arousal and desire as well as heightened climax. It has been said that yoga may effectively treat premature ejaculation in some men.
"Mindfullness" and Yoga focus on the awareness of the present moment in order to release tension, stress and anxiety. The idea of awareness of the "now" increased awareness of the body which eventually led to sexual goals in many yogis.
In 2007, The Journal of Sexual Medicine published a report in which 68 Indian men who suffered from premature ejaculation were given a choice of yoga-based, non-pharmacological treatment or Prozac. The men who chose yoga as a form of treatment, and practiced for an hour each day, "had both subjective and statistically significant improvements in their intra-ejaculatory latencies, similar to participants in the pharmacological treatment group."

Sexual Dysfunction in Trauma Victims
According to a recent study reported at the 2008 Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons, 3,087 out of 10,122 survey respondents reported cases of sexual dysfunction after experiencing severe physical trauma.
Trauma, a serious or body-altering injury, had not been linked to sexual dysfunctions until recent years and findings now support the correlation. After becoming aware of the increased number of young trauma patients experiencing sexual dysfunction, University of Washington doctors decided to conduct a study on patients recovering from trauma. The study included both male and female patients and showed similar rates of sexual dysfunction regardless of the patients gender.
Said one of the study's leaders: "For most practitioners, both primary care and trauma physicians, sexual function is not on their radar screen and most often they think of erectile dysfunction in men. Sexual dysfunction is a complex and difficult topic for most practitioners to discuss. But sexual function is a major determinant of quality of life, impacts both men and women, and if physicians don't ask patients about their sexual health, the patients are unlikely to bring it up. This is something physicians should be asking their patients about because there are excellent medications that work in the majority of patients." The study aims to make trauma physicians aware of the findings.
Researchers are not sure why sexual dysfunction is so prevalent among trauma patients but they do suspect it might be related to the psychological effects of trauma and its life-changing limitations.

The Voices of Prostate Cancer
Thousands of men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in the U.S. and many of them are concerned with post-operation sexual abilities.
The New York Times features a "Patient Voices" article regularly and in June published a "Voices of Prostate Cancer" feature article.
The article offered insight from men who have been diagnosed, treated and dealing with major lifestyle changes.
Here are some of the things patients are saying:
Although you should not rely solely on the wisdom of those who have overcome prostate cancer, hearing the experiences of others can often times provide a sense of comfort and support.

More Prostate Cancer Survivors Turning To Sexual Rehabilitation
According to a recent article in Medical News Today, more men are turning to Sexual Rehabilitation. Why?
Because of the technological advances since its debut, prostate cancer is being diagnosed earlier in men. Younger men are finding themselves tackling prostate cancer and coping with the effects.
For many men, prostate cancer can disrupt sexual activity and the ability to perform as they would have previously. The changes can be difficult to handle and men are finding alternative ways to improve their sex lives.
Many men, especially the younger demographic, are not fully prepared for the life style changes that take place after treating prostate cancer and many are hearing about "sexual rehabilitation."
Dr Michael Lowy from Sydney Men's Health says that " sexual rehabilitation services are an evolving and useful scientific and clinical branch of sexual medicine and urology" and recently presented these findings to the Clinical Oncolgoical Society of Australia.
In the years to come, sexual rehabilitation, accomplished through comprehensive treatment strategies, may be a term the public becomes more and more familiar with as techniques improve and stigma decreases.

Chocolate Instead of Viagra?
It has been said that chocolate is an aphrodisiac, but can it really improve your sex life? According to this recent article there are more uses for chocolate than we thought.
In a 2008 study on the therapeutic potential of chocolate, an Italian university published a Journal of Nutrition with findings that, “Flavanols from chocolate appear to increase nitric oxide bioavailability, protect vascular endothelium, and decrease cardiovascular disease risk factors…our findings suggest flavanol-rich, low-energy cocoa food products may have a positive impact on [cardiovascular disease] risk factors.”
It is said that 50-200 dark chocolate chips can help prevent the most common cause of erectile dysfunction -- cardiovascular damage. Our bodies naturally regulate levels of nitric oxide, but when that fails there are pills that are tailored to do that for us. The flavonoids in dark chocolate, however, enhance our bodies’ levels of nitric oxide in a more natural way than medication.
Modifying the foods you eat can be one strategy for improving your sex life, but it certainly doesn’t necessarily work for everyone. The Boston Medical Group can help you assemble a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to fit your lifestyle.

Does Andropause Exist? (And Does it Cause ED?)
The term andropause is quite controversial.
As used in the media, the term refers to the gradual loss of testosterone in aging men as it corresponds to the process of menopause in aging women. However, many are skeptical as to whether andropause even exists, and medical authorities agree the term can be very misleading. According to Wikipedia:

However, many are skeptical as to whether andropause even exists, and medical authorities agree the term can be very misleading. According to Wikipedia:
Andropause (or male menopause) is a rather misleading word, and a controversial concept. The word is sometimes used to describe a supposed medical phenomenon in middle-aged men...Whether you take any stock in the concept of andropause or not is more or less irrelevant if you're suffering from erectile dysfunction. In most cases, the cause of ED has very little to do with testosterone levels and can be treated effectively without taking hormones into consideration. In other cases testosterone issues are a mere secondary cause of erectile dysfunction and must be addressed in conjunction with a primary ED line of treatment.
The term andropause is a misleading choice of terminology (as is the term "male menopause"), because it suggests an equivalence with menopause, a complete and permanent physiological shutting down of the reproductive system, which occurs only in women.
Unlike the term menopause, the word "andropause" is not currently recognized by the World Health Organization and its ICD-10 medical classification.

Women's Libido Can Be An Issue Too
We stumbled across an article in psychology today recently, titled "5 Shocking Stats About Men and Sex." Besides containing some all-around solid information about topics like how often a man thinks about sex and the unreliability of penis-size surveys, the article also contained an interesting nugget about the nature of the female libido. Said the article:
"...As it turns out, the instant a woman enters a secure relationship, her sex drive begins to plummet. Four years in, a German study found, fewer than half of women wanted regular sex. And after 20 years, only 20 percent did. Among men, libido held steady no matter how long they'd been in the relationship. Researchers provide an evolutionary explanation—women's sex drive is initially high to facilitate pair bonding."The takeaway? While it's incredibly important for men to seek help for decreased libido generally and erectile dysfunction specifically, the woman also has a part to play in the equation -- especially in a committed relationship -- and might consider seeking help as well.

Will the Boston Medical Group Approach Work for Me?
J.M asks:
I've tried certain medications, but they interfered with my medical conditions. Will the Boston Medical Group approach work for me if these didn't?
Our Answer:
Do you have a heart condition? Many have found that products such as Viagra and Cialis do interfere with their heart related issues and cause unwanted side effects. Heart condition or not, It is important to speak with a physician when incorporating anything new into your daily routine.
Boston Medical Group's specialized physicians conduct a thorough medical assessment as well as prescribe a personalized treatment plan. This plan can help restore your sexual function immediately as well as deliver sustainable solutions.
Because sexual dysfunction is a specialized field, your average Primary Care Physician may not have the targeted dedication and experience you will find with specialized physicians at our clinics. A typical appointment will last about 2 hours. During this time, a comprehensive assessment and diagnosis will be made. At this time, treatment options can be discussed and a program can be initiated.
