Social Impact of ED and PE

Sex is a fundamental human need at the core to a balanced and fulfilling life. Sexuality may be a reflection of who we are and how we relate to the world and as such, it is vital part of both our physical and psychological well being.

With respect to the male's psyche, sexuality may be intimately tied to his ability to function which, when restricted can act as a basic threat to his well being. Sexual dysfunction can spur feelings of deficiency, frustration, denial, dearth of motivation, poor self-esteem and can ultimately cause depression and even aggressiveness. Personal, familial and business related relationships can also be negatively affected.

Boston Medical Group is committed to improving intimate relationships and lives through the restoration and reactivation of men's health and sexual function. Our physicians exclusively specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of two commonplace sexual conditions, principally Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Premature Ejaculation (PE).

ED Erectile dysfunction is classified as the inability to achieve and maintain an erection appropriate for sexual intercourse. This condition is not considered normal at any age(1) and affects one in two adult males to different degrees(2).

PE Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either after or before sexual penetration, with little sexual stimulation and before the person desires. It may result in a poor sexual experience for both partners. This can add to the anxiety that may in turn contribute to and bolster the problem. PE is one of the most generally known forms of male sexual dysfunction and has most likely affected every man at one point in his life(3).
